Windows Tips – Speed Up your Network Share Browsing

This is useful to computer shop owners! most of the time, when you are viewing a shared folder to another computer it takes a lot of time, sometimes 30 seconds or more!

you know why?test

it’s because your xp is set to check the “scheduled task” of that computer. Which I think not really necessary and for me, useless.

so we must disable this function in order to view the network folders fast.

how?

1. go to : Start > Run > (type mo) regedit
2. navigate to : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Microsoft/Windows/Current Version/Explorer/RemoteComputer/NameSpace
3. when you’re there look for this key {D6277990-4C6A-11CF-8D87-00AA0060F5BF} and DELETE it.
4. Restart your computer, Windows will no longer check for scheduled tasks – much performance improvement!

Have fun shared folder browsing!
